DeSerres

Established in 1908 by Omer Deserres, the company has transformed over the years into a prime destination for artists in pursuit of art supplies and creative passions. Led by his grandson Marc and now known as DeSerres, this family enterprise remains a hallmark of creativity, drawing upon unique expertise passed down through three generations.

DeSerres, a guiding light for imaginative souls, encourages customers to unleash their creativity and supports them in their diverse projects. Championing originality, daring, and resourcefulness, the company believes in infusing everyday life with a touch of enchantment to unveil the most vibrant hues of existence. Beyond offering art tools, DeSerres provides online and in-person courses, empowering customers to refine their skills or explore new mediums.

Dedicated to eco-conscious practices, DeSerres has made significant strides to minimize its environmental footprint. The packaging for DeSerres markers now uses recycled and recyclable cardboard, significantly reducing plastic usage. Additionally, the company's shelves are crafted from paper sourced from sustainable forests certified by the FSC seal. Furthermore, DeSerres frames are crafted from rubberwood and bamboo sourced from ecologically responsible forests.

Under its (Re)Art social responsibility program, DeSerres has partnered with Terracycle, an ecological company spanning over 20 countries. This alliance aims to recycle art materials deemed non-recyclable, contributing to waste reduction efforts. Through this art material recycling initiative, DeSerres has successfully recycled more than 2,000 litres of product in a year, equivalent to over 8,000 250-ml DeSerres acrylic pots. DeSerres stores facilitate the collection of empty art supplies from customers, actively participating in environmentally responsible waste management. DeSerres not only positions itself as a supplier of top-quality creative materials but also as a dedicated advocate for planetary preservation.

DeSerres has been partnering with the Les Produits du Québec program since October 2023.
