Founded in 2015 by Université de Montréal student Anthony Vendrame, Poches & Fils has emerged as a creative force in fashion, offering t-shirts with customizable pockets. Each pocket, crafted and sewn in Montreal, reflects the unique preferences of its wearer and is attached to t-shirts produced in Lac-Drolet, ensuring high-quality, locally-made apparel. 

 

Poches & Fils was born from a moment of inspiration. As Anthony balanced his academic responsibilities at HEC Montréal and rigorous training with the university's soccer team, he sought a sustainable income. The concept took shape when Josée, a friend's mother, added a pocket to a T-shirt, sparking interest among Anthony's friends and eventually catching the eye of a passerby, signalling the broader appeal of his idea. 

 

The brand is celebrated for its laid-back, humorous take on an often overly serious fashion industry. Embracing simplicity and authenticity, each product is whimsically packaged in a pizza box, adding a playful twist. Poches & Fils is committed to supporting the Quebec economy and minimizing environmental impact by partnering with local suppliers, reducing transportation emissions, and bolstering regional economic development. The company's philanthropic efforts have also been significant, contributing over $100,000 to various causes through partnerships.

In 2016, the company secured a $100,000 investment on the Radio-Canada television show “Dans l'œil du dragon.”
