ABOUT
Mariline Gagné founded Laboratoire Abieze in Saint-Jérôme in 2019 to create ecological and effective cleaning products using local natural resources. The company prioritizes sourcing local raw materials to develop eco-friendly products that are simple yet effective, always with an eye on environmental sustainability.
The idea for Abieze emerged when Mariline realized the potential dangers of household chemicals while cleaning her son's bathtub. After four years of experimenting and nurturing a passion for natural products, she launched Abieze. Now, with a team of skilled chemists and formulators, the company produces high-performance products in its lab.
One of Laboratoire Abieze's initial successes was developing a black soap made from camelina, a locally and sustainably grown cruciferous plant. This innovative "golden" black soap showcases the company's commitment to enhancing the efficacy of natural cleaning ingredients.

Laboratoire Abieze was selected for the first Quebec cohort of the EFC (Economy of Function and Cooperation) program. This experience significantly influenced the company's strategic positioning and continues to inspire its operations.
