ABOUT

It was in 2018 that Mélanie Trottier founded Globe Trott-Air, a company specializing in the design of innovative travel products. This ambitious woman was at the helm of a landscape maintenance company, she managed a Subway franchise and then worked in the import/export sector, exporting heavy and mining machinery. Sometime later, Melanie combined her passion for travel with her knowledge as a private pilot to develop a unique product in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which, according to her, is here for good.

What are the flagship products of Globe Trott-Air? Seat covers, armrests, sheets and pillowcases are all specially designed for travel by plane or bus but also hotel stays, camping or Airbnb. All products are manufactured in Saint-Ambroise-de-Kildare, a municipality located in Lanaudière. Thanks to their versatility, they can also be used in other contexts, like in mining sites, and are suitable for therapy centres, convalescent homes, stretchers in hospitals, aesthetic centres, spas and university campuses.

Globe Trott-Air stands out for its environmental commitment, and all its products are hypoallergenic and feature an anti-mite treatment. Better yet? Because they are made from wood pulp, 30% of which comes from eucalyptus, they compost in less than two months. This responsible approach makes it possible to reduce the environmental footprint while offering superior quality products to travellers and wellness enthusiasts.

Globe Trott-Air in the Spotlight

Everyone's talking about Globe Trott-Air. In 2021, Globe Trott-Air was on the show Dans L'œil du dragon. She then won the title of personality of the month for September 2022 from the Greater Joliette Chamber of Commerce, in addition to being a finalist at the 2022-2023 Excelsiors Gala.

Globe Trott-Air and Les Produits du Québec

The company has been a Les Produits du Québec program member since August 2022, and some of its products have obtained the certification mark
Manufactured in Québec. For Mélanie, joining the program was a must. "More and more people are supporting our company's mission and values. Having a Les Produits du Québec certification mark means demonstrating that many of our economic values and environmental objectives align.", she mentions.

Products that have obtained a certification mark are chair covers, compostable napkins, compostable duvet covers, compostable massage table sheets, sets of sheets and pillowcases, and airplane seat covers.
