Led by seven visionary women, the Quebec company Flâneuse was founded in 2013. Their mission? To manufacture donkey milk soaps and natural, eco-responsible products of quality which can repair, restore and relieve any skin type.
Flâneuse is established in Saint-André-Avellin, in the Outaouais region, on a farm where eighteen donkeys are pampered and cherished, providing the precious donkey milk used to make the company's products. Not bad, right? It is a harmonious blend between nature and innovation, where the farm coexists directly with the online store, which allows total transparency in the manufacturing process.
The main objective of Flâneuse is to provide tangible benefits to its customers by offering practical and natural products. The company respects the environment, avoids harmful products and promotes ecological consumption while assuming informed energy choices.
Innovation is also at the heart of the company's values, as it constantly looks for new formulas and closely follows technological developments to improve its products.
Fairness is a cornerstone of their philosophy. Respect for nature and all living beings is another fundamental value for Flâneuse, which aims to preserve the environment for future generations.
Flâneuse in the spotlight
In July 2023, Flâneuse was a guest on the show La belle tournée broadcasted on TVA as an innovative company.
In the fall of 2023, the company announced a collaboration with the Maison d'hébergement Pour Elles Des Deux Vallées, an organization that seeks to end violence against women. Flâneuse gives $5 for each sweater sold in-store or online.
Flâneuse and Les Produits du Québec
The company has been a Les Produits du Québec program member since December 2022, and some of its products have obtained the Manufactured in Quebec certification mark.
For the seven entrepreneurs, joining the program naturally fit the company's philosophy. "In addition to supporting local businesses, it is important for us to demonstrate that it is possible to offer a superior quality product made with ingredients from Quebec."
Products that have obtained a certification mark include moisturizing body care, repairing balms, moisturizing bars, shampoo and donkey milk soaps.
