ABOUT
Since 1999, Béké-bobo has been helping families naturally relieve their children’s minor ailments. It all started in Saint-Amable, when Maggy-Nadyne Lamarche, a young mother, was looking for a solution to soothe her daughter Camillie’s discomfort. Nothing was working, until one day, inspiration struck: fill a small teddy bear with a mixture of cereals that would give off a gentle, comforting moist heat.
Unlike traditional hot water bottles, this teddy bear has a soothing and anti-inflammatory effect. It can be used hot or cold to relieve stomach aches, migraines, earaches and teething pain. And because it’s so soft, children immediately adopt it as a cuddly toy.
What started as a gesture of love quickly became a real success. Today, more than 1.4 million parents trust Béké-bobo. In Canada, one in three children has their own therapeutic teddy bear. The company continues to develop natural and comforting products designed for the well-being of little ones... and the peace of mind of parents.
Béké-bobo in the spotlight
In 2024, Béké-bobo shone at the Mercad’Or competition as a recipient of two major awards: the Montérégie regional award in June, followed in November by the provincial award for new exporting business. These honours highlight both its international presence and its deep roots in Quebec.
Béké-bobo and Les Produits du Québec
“Membership in Les Produits du Québec is a great validation of our local and sustainable approach. Our cereals are grown less than 30 km from our workshop, our fabrics are recycled and our packaging comes from used boxes. Buying local means supporting a humane, environmentally friendly economy that is deeply rooted in Québec.”
– Maggy-Nadyne Lamarche, Founder
The company has been a member of Les Produits du Québec program since April 2025. Certain of its products carry the Product of Québec certification mark.
