ABOUT
Tendre atelier belongs to Marie Bourguignon, a Montréal-based ceramist. She creates ceramic objects turned and shaped by hand, to bring beauty and simplicity to everyday life. Her pieces strike a balance between utility, design and craftsmanship, resulting in objects that are pleasing to handle and elevate the moments spent in the kitchen or around the table.
Marie attaches great importance to the skill and care that goes into each stage of production. She wants her creations to fit naturally into everyday life—lasting companions, appreciated for their quiet presence and quality.
Trained as a graphic designer, she chose to devote all her time to ceramics after completing a DEC in fine crafts at the Centre de céramique Bonsecours in 2023. A collector of objects and moments, she aspires to create timeless pieces that become small heirlooms to pass on.
Tendre atelier and Les Produits du Québec
Tendre atelier’s products have earned the Manufactured in Québec certification mark as part of a partnership between the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec and Les Produits du Québec, launched in December 2024.
“Every local purchase is a concrete gesture to support local craftsmanship. Our customers know that they’re directly supporting the artisan behind the pieces, without going through layers of middle people or unnecessary travel. It’s a simple way to choose a shorter, more human and more responsible supply chain.”
