Since starting out, Mme L’Ovary has been selling reusable menstrual underwear designed with built-in removable pads—a unique Québec innovation. Practical, comfortable and reliably effective, these panties are designed to prevent leaks, day and night. Each model comes with a small waterproof bag, making it easy to change and stay dry in any situation.

Mme L’Ovary is much more than what it makes: Through its actions and communications, the company is helping to break the taboos surrounding menstruation and normalize this natural cycle in the public sphere. It is also behind the #SangDéchet movement, which led to the introduction of municipal subsidies for the purchase of reusable protection. Today, more than 200 cities support this initiative.

With more than 50,000 users in Québec, Canada the U.S. and Europe, Mme L’Ovary’s making a concrete contribution to reducing menstrual waste. With strong values and vision, it’s showing the world that it’s possible to take care of yourself and the planet too.

Mme L’Ovary’s engagement and innovation have been recognized multiple times. In 2017, it received the Le Grand Saut award from the Ulule crowdfunding platform. The following year, it won the Innovation Award as part of Québec Waste Reduction Week. In 2020, it made magazine Premières en affaires’ Étoiles Montantes list, which celebrates women-led businesses. The company also gained recognition during its appearance on the well-known TV show Dans l’œil du Dragon in 2018.

The company has been a member of Les Produits du Québec program since June 2025. Certain of its products carry the Designed in Québec certification mark.
