ABOUT
Founded in 2014 in Montréal, Marigold is a high-end ready-to-wear brand that combines timeless looks, local manufacturing and an ethical approach. Every piece is designed and made in Québec, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality, sustainability and respect for everyone involved in the creative process.
Marigold advocates for slow, quality-over-quantity fashion by cutting down on surplus and selecting materials with care to reduce its environmental impact. The company highlights the skill of Montréal artisans at its local production facilities, where it also employs ethical and fair trade practices.
Transparency is a key value at Marigold. Each garment comes with a “transparent tag” that lists the manufacturing costs. It’s a simple way to show where every dollar comes from while raising the visibility of the artisans who bring the collections to life.
In addition to creating stylish, sustainable clothing, Marigold is committed to social causes. In 2023, the brand collaborated with Fondation des jeunes de la DPJ. Thanks to its charity fashion show during Montréal Fashion Week, the company raised funds to support underprivileged youth, proving that fashion can be a force for positive change too.
Marigold and Les Produits du Québec
Marigold’s products have earned the Manufactured in Québec certification mark as part of a partnership between the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec and Les Produits du Québec, launched in December 2024.
“The Manufactured in Québec certification mark is proof of our authentic approach. It means that behind every garment, there is a real workshop, a real sewist and 100% local production. It validates what we’ve been championing for more than 10 years: transparency, quality and pride in a 100% local product.”
