Founded in 2018 in Québec City, Herbachat is now the largest producer and distributor of catnip in Canada, in addition to offering a range of carefully designed cat accessories. Behind the company is Maude and Mathieu, an animal-loving duo, who wanted to offer their cats a natural, simple and healthy treat.
Their flagship product is 100% fresh, locally grown oats. The grain supports digestion, helps prevent hairballs and satisfies cats’ instinctive need to consume plants. Rich in nutrients, the product is a healthy option, appreciated by satisfied pets, which makes their owners pleased too.
The company, which began modestly, has quickly won the loyalty of cat owners. Today, Herbachat is distributed at over 200 points of sale, proof of the growing confidence and interest in quality products for cats.
True to their values, Maude and Mathieu are pursuing their mission to develop balanced, sustainable and respectful products for feline members of the family. The couple’s love of natural materials is also reflected in their handmade accessories, which blend wood, authenticity and functionality.
