Go Coconut was founded in late 2019, inspired by co-founder Diana Horqque's journey as she prepared for the arrival of her first child. While creating a developmentally appropriate space in her Montreal apartment, she turned to the Montessori philosophy. Diana sought versatile furniture that could grow with her child, but months of searching yielded no satisfactory options on the Canadian market. This led to Go Coconut, a company dedicated to crafting foam play sofas that combine handcrafted design, functionality, and durability.

 

Go Coconut’s mission is to empower children through independent play while providing parents with tools to enhance shared family moments. In less than a year, the company experienced rapid growth. Today, every sofa is thoughtfully designed in Montreal, with the entire manufacturing process carried out locally in Quebec, from fabric cutting to final packaging.

Their Reloved initiative further reflects this commitment to openness, allowing customers to exchange old covers for cash back, promoting the circular economy through refurbished products.
