ABOUT
Kaizen Knives is a Québec-based artisan company that manufactures durable, high-end kitchen knives that are a pleasure to use. The project was started by Morgan Allemand, a materials engineer who has long been fascinated by materials, textures and how different materials work together.
Kaizen Knives are all about performance. A precisely sharpened knife completely transforms the cooking experience, making movements more exact and fluid. It’s a difference you can immediately feel. The knives go through rigorous quality testing to ensure they offer exceptional sharpness and durability.
Attention is also given to aesthetics. The lines are clean, the design is bold and each knife is unique. The raw forged finish gives the blades character while the natural or coloured handles feature stabilized wood, for a simple yet striking look.
Kaizen Knives’ approach involves an eco-responsible process. Certain materials are sourced through recycling and reuse—old industrial blades, heritage wrought iron, reclaimed or local wood. Each knife tells a story and promotes local buying and respect for the material.
Kaizen Knives and Les Produits du Québec
Kaizen Knives’ products have earned the Manufactured in Québec certification mark as part of a partnership between the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec and Les Produits du Québec, launched in December 2024.
“I strongly believe in the value of local manufacturing and purchasing. The advantages are clear: It promotes a circular economy, encourages and serves our immediate region, eliminates transportation costs and more. I’m proud to be able to say that absolutely every stage of manufacturing is carried out in our workshop.”
