ABOUT
Since 2017, Coralie Huckel has been creating ceramic objects crafted with patience and sensitivity. Based in the Eastern Townships, the artisan has developed a world where balance, simplicity and grace take centre stage. Her work expresses her Alsatian roots and Asian heritage. Each creation bears a trace, a memory, an intention.
Before devoting herself fully to ceramics, Coralie Huckel worked in the academic world in language sciences. Her return to clay in 2013 rekindled a childhood passion. In 2022, following a second bout with breast cancer, she chose to give all her time to this art. The turning point confirmed her desire to create lasting, meaningful and grounded works.
She learned pottery with Montréal potter Jacques Benoît, then pursued her apprenticeship with curiosity and rigour, both independently and with various professionals in Québec and France. This experience has nurtured an approach that pays homage to the material and its nuances.
Active in the Waterloo and Estrie regions, she participates in exhibitions and trade shows, collaborates with other artisans and passes on her passion to the next generation. By purchasing a Coralie Huckel piece, you’re supporting authentic local expertise. Creations made here that bring gentleness and depth to your everyday.
Coralie Huckel and Les Produits du Québec
Coralie Huckel products have earned the Manufactured in Québec certification mark as part of a partnership between the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec and Les Produits du Québec, launched in December 2024.
“Through this certification program, I want to offer the public a way to know for sure where and how these pieces are made, in addition to promoting the living heritage they are a part of. It’s an opportunity to showcase the unique character of Québec artisanship and celebrate the ties between gesture, material and territory.”
