ABOUT
Church & Dwight Canada Corp. has been part of the lives of Canadians for over 100 years, with reliable, effective products designed to meet their everyday needs. The company is a subsidiary of Church & Dwight Co. Inc., a leading U.S. manufacturer of a large portfolio of products, from personal care, cleaning and over-the-counter healthcare products to pet food.
Church & Dwight Canada’s head office is located in Mississauga, Ontario, where marketing and distribution activities happen. The Montréal facilities house the teams responsible for quality control and R&D as well as a 155,000-square-foot plant where several over-the-counter healthcare, personal care and family planning products are manufactured.
The company’s history began in 1846, when John Dwight and his brother-in-law Austin Church started producing baking soda in their kitchen in New England. In 1896, their descendants officially founded Church & Dwight Co., Inc. The company expanded to Canada in 1904 under the name Church & Dwight Limited.
Since then, it has added well-known brands such as TROJAN, NAIR, ARRID and PREMIÈRE RÉPONSE to its portfolio. ARM & HAMMER baking soda, which was initially used in cooking, is now used throughout the home.
