Founded in 1988, Medicom is a renowned company in the health care sector. Since its creation, it has built a solid reputation as a supplier of high-quality personal protective equipment for healthcare professionals around the world, and for the population in general. Ronald Reuben, barely 23 years old at the time, created Medicom to face the urgency of the AIDS crisis and meet the critical need for protective equipment for healthcare staff.

The demand for Medicom products grew rapidly, which is why Mr. Reuben decided to acquire his own factory in order to design and develop the most reliable protective equipment on the market.  

A little before Covid-19, Medicom moved into its new state-of-the-art headquarters and warehouse located in Pointe-Claire. The company was also very active during the crisis by manufacturing equipment locally to meet the needs of hospitals and the population. His motto "Proud to Protect" then made perfect sense.

Medicom in the spotlight  

In 2020, Medicom entered into a long-term agreement with local governments to ensure the local supply of personal protection. The company then opened its first factory in Montreal to manufacture masks and respirators.   

Medicom and Les Produits du Québec  

The company has been a Les Produits du Québec program member since August 2022, while its surgical masks and N95 respirators have obtained the Manufactured in Quebec certification mark.
