ABOUT
Founded in 1995 in Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil, Acti-Sol is an innovative family enterprise specializing in natural, eco-friendly fertilizers. The company's core mission revolves around repurposing perceived waste materials. The Désilets family developed a groundbreaking drying technique that harnesses heat from hen houses to recycle manure from numerous laying hens. This green technology enables Acti-Sol to transform tons of manure annually into natural fertilizers certified for organic farming.
Acti-Sol offers two distinct natural fertilizer lines: the Mère Poule series, derived from laying hen manure, and the Acadie range, produced from sustainably harvested North Atlantic seaweed. These products provide an eco-conscious alternative to synthetic fertilizers, reducing the environmental impact of both amateur and professional gardeners. Locally produced from abundant, renewable resources, each product promotes healthier and more sustainable gardening practices.
The company stands out for its energy-efficient, pollution-free production process, significantly contributing to ecological horticulture. Acti-Sol excels in recycling and valorizing renewable resources, while educating consumers about the benefits of environmentally friendly gardening. Through its support of organic agriculture and advocacy for sustainable practices, Acti-Sol actively promotes greener farming methods and a healthier environment.
